September 6, 2018: Helping Hand For Tornado Victims
On Sunday, April 15th, a tornado touched down in Greensboro, North Carolina leaving thousands of homeowners with significant damage to their homes and cars. Some lost their roofs; many large trees were toppled onto houses and windows were blown out or shattered. There were so many families that needed help and with the help of one of our partners, Lowe’s we were able to organize volunteers from 14 different stores and help dozens of families remove trees from their homes and get their home sites cleaned up

June 21, 2018: Rio Grande Valley, TX Flood
More than 7,400 homes and business were affected after a foot of rain fell in the Rio Grande Valley. The work of gutting homes in the summer heat can be exhausting and there were many families in need of a helping hand. We were grateful for all the volunteers that came out to work alongside us.
January 25, 2018: 2017 Year in Review
Between tornadoes, floods and hurricanes, 2017 was a record-breaking year. The Team responded to 15 communities from Pennsylvania to Texas.
September 26, 2017: In Florida Alongside Jimmie Johnson
First Response Team of America partnered with NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson and dozens of Lowe’s Home Improvement volunteers to jumpstart the recovery in Florida after Hurricane Irma.
August 29, 2017: Helping in the wake of Hurricane Harvey
Volunteers with RAM Nation joined the Team in the wake of Hurricane Harvey to help the communities of Rockport and Aransas Pass, TX.
January 6, 2017: Looking back at the storms of 2016
The Team responded to more flooding in 2016 than any other type of disaster. From Houston, TX to West Virginia, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina, the Team responded to 12 communities over 8 months, helping families begin the daunting task of recovery.
October 25, 2016: Responding to Hurricane Matthew
Hurricane Matthew brought historic flooding and damaging winds to Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. The Team has been working to clear roadways, storm debris, and large trees from homes so power could be restored and communities could begin to get back on their feet.
September 7, 2016: Emergency Response in Louisiana
One of the worst disasters since Super Storm Sandy, over 100,000 homes were either damaged or destroyed. Time was of the essence to remove the debris and gut homes to salvage whatever was left. Many without flood insurance faced the daunting task of cleaning up and the Team was there to lend a helping hand.
