Hidalgo County, Texas

June was a difficult time for many in Hidalgo County, TX where multiple cities and thousands of homes were damaged or destroyed from 16 inches of rain. Though it wasn’t covered extensively on the news, we can tell you from being here first hand that the damage is widespread, spanning 5 cities and affecting thousands trying to figure out how to clean up and rebuild. With the help of 64 volunteers we were able to clean out flooded homes, tarp roofs, hand out 220 buckets full of cleaning supplies and give some hugs along the way.
